UFO

Why a UFO?

Because there is a little
green guy on his dash.

That is it. That is the origin story. A plush alien has ridden shotgun in the cab of Bill for years, stuck to the windscreen looking out at the road, and he named the company after it. United Freight Operators. UFO.

It suits the work better than anything a branding exercise would have produced. A driver at 3 a.m. on an empty interstate is a long way from home, passing through, and nobody is really watching. Same as the little guy. And there is a rubber duck up there too, because of course there is.

So the mark stays friendly, a fellow traveler, not an abduction. And the promise stays the one Bill has had painted down the side of his trailer for years.
