The check we are building

Three questions, answerable while the engine is running:

  1. Does this load clear my floor? Your real cost per mile, against what is actually being offered, including the empty miles to get there.
  2. Where can I park tonight? Before you are too far into the trip to reroute. Bill has had that go wrong more than once.
  3. Where did my money go? Receipts scanned once, not twice, and a plain record you can hand your tax person without a shoebox.

Being honest about status: the cost per mile worksheet below works today. The load check and the parking heads up are in design and not built. They are here so you know what we are aiming at, not so you think it already exists.

One more thing he asked for

Cameras, for exactly one reason.

When cameras came up, Bill was not interested in being watched or in watching anybody. He was interested in one specific bad afternoon:

"I'm not tech savvy and I can learn — I just need help recovering data. Someone hits my truck… I need the footage to send to police on the spot."

That is the whole requirement. Not surveillance. A driver who has just been hit, standing on the shoulder, able to hand over the proof before the story changes. Anything built here starts from that, and from the fact that he would rather stop for a sunset than shoot one while moving: "pull over for a gorgeous sunset if I'm in a safe area."

Straight with you about what is built

Working today, and what is not.

The floor of Bill is be the signal, not the noise. So here is the unglamorous version, in plain order.

Works The cockpit, the worksheet, the ways to reach him, and the checking a number exercises. Running now, on a private internal system. Not open to the public yet.
In design The load check, the parking heads up, memberships, the Flight Deck, the video side. Designed, argued over, and not built. No code exists for these.
Draft Any price you see anywhere. Nothing is priced yet. When something is, it will be a draft under review, not an offer.
Unfinished This website. Bill has not signed off on this copy yet. Nothing here publishes without him reading it first.
